1780’s Handcut Herringbone Floor Restored To It’s Former Glory
This herringbone floor and marquetry border was originally installed in the 1780’s, with each piece of flooring being handcut on site at the time – making for a very interesting restoration! We knew this was going to be quite the job, however we were up for the challenge!
What We Did
We uplifted and installed 9mm ply over the floorboards, then relayed, sanded/refinished with one coat of Bona craft oil 2k Clay and finished with 2 of Bona traffic HD.
